Public Safety Community Endorses D.C. Reeves for Re-Election
Pensacola — Today, Mayor D.C. Reeves announced endorsements for his re-election from Pensacola's public safety community.
Reeves received the endorsements of:
- Escambia County Sheriff Chip W. Simmons
- Fraternal Order of Police (Jim "Billy" Barnes Lodge #71)
- Pensacola Professional Firefighters (IAFF Local 707)
Since taking office in 2022, Reeves has kept public safety as his top priority, making unprecedented investments to keep our heroes ready, investing millions in competitive pay, equipment and infrastructure. If re-elected, nothing will change. Mayor Reeves will ensure that all Pensacolians continue to be as safe as ever.
In his endorsement, Sheriff Chip Simmons cited Reeves' leadership and record of achievement for Pensacola.

About Mayor D.C. Reeves
Darcy Curran Reeves was sworn in as Mayor of his hometown, Pensacola, on Nov. 22, 2022, becoming the youngest person to be elected mayor in more than 100 years. Before taking office, Reeves spent his professional career as a sports journalist, author, community builder, and small business owner.
The Pensacola mayor's election will be held on August 18, 2026.
